Return to Hoth!
Simon & Garfunkel - The Sound Of SilenceSo I’ve been back in chilly Buffalo, NY since late Tuesday night. I took a bus at 12:45 that afternoon and didn’t arrive until 11:10 pm. I had to wait in Syracuse for 2 hours, which was rather boring. In Rochester, some border police checked everyone on the bus to make sure we’re all legally in the country. So there were a few holdups that added to the time, but the trip was decent overall. No one sat next to me with a smelly salami sandwich like on my last bus ride. I’m pleased.
I had to take my computer on the bus with me as carry-on. It’s like 25 pounds or more and I had to carry a million other things…
Since I’ve been home, Justin and I have just been watching movies, playing Nintendo and listening to music. I finally gave Justin his Christmas presents. I got him a few records (Orchid, Ampere, The Blood Brothers) on some pretty cool colored vinyl and I got him some books (E.E. Cummings, Orwell, etc) and a couple other tiny things. Anyway, things have been mellow so far, which is cool. I went to his job for a little and we hung out and ate Doritos. He’s lucky that he has such an unrestrictive job, and works all his shifts alone. He just got a raise, too
Next week I need to do a lot of stuff to get back on track, including setting up a dentist appointment and figuring out the rest of this college paperwork shit. I’m sort of dreading that, especially since I have to come up with money for testing and whatnot. Ugh.
When I have time, I’ll probably get to work scanning more magazines, because I have them stockpiled from when I was gone, and my scans site is laying there idle.

Oooh, I hope your return to NY is a good one, despite the fact that it’s absolutely freezing up there. Good luck with your dentist appointment and college stuff.

Yeah I know, paid blogging :( its terrible, but I’m going to do it until I earn enough money to buy another years worth of my domain name registration. After that I should be good on paying for it myself because by then hopefully I’ll have a job! It’ll probably be just several paid blog entries (like 6 or 7) so just ignore them. I know they’re annoying.
Anywho, hows NY? Do you love it? I actually would love to live in Buffalo, but I probably wouldn’t be able to handle the weather haha. I can barely stand the weather in western Washington & its not even close to being extreme! :/

….this…layout….IS AWESOME. I dont know how long you’ve had it, because I’m a terrible friend, but it’s amazing. All you need is the cover of Blue Skies Broken Hearts…Next 12 Exits in the background and I’d freak out and orgasm all at once. Ok, now that I’m done with that…
I hope the rest of your settling in back home goes smoothly. I wish I could live with someone who’d play MarioKart 64 and watch movies with me. You two sure are lucky.

Glad Buffalo’s treating you well so far.
So I never got around to writing that letter…or 50. Things got a little, well, complicated. I’ll have to write you and tell you about it…lol.
By the way, I think I’m going to register a new domain…I don’t think I’ll be using SO for that much longer. If you think of any amazing ideas let me know.

Sounds like a good time! I’m scared of buses though… public or chartered. heh. Unless I’m with a private group or something.
Hope all goes well with trying to get back on track. =P
