Hello again!
I’m writing from a library in Buffalo right now - yes, I moved! Everything is unpacked but Justin is being… cheap and won’t hook up the internet connection until he has a job. I feel bad about neglecting all of my affiliates and visitors, but I think I could be a worse webmaster. I know kids who disappear from their domains for months at a time or worse, let it expire without notice.
I had a terrible ordeal the first week here in New York. My cat, Mr. Bojangles, got so sick and he couldn’t pee. He would just wander from random spot to spot trying to go and he would strain and cough but nothing came out. I begged Justin to do something and he said he would “probably be fine”, but then a day later we saw blood on him and then Justin and I caught a cab to the cat clinic and discussed our options. It turns out he was blocked up and had crystals in his bladder so they had to put a catheter in him and did some other things to fix him up. He was on 4 different medications including Valium for pain which really screwed him up. The whole thing put us back nearly $600 (thanks Justin!) and now he can only eat special foods which also cost a lot. I’m so glad he’s fine though!
I love you all and thanks for stopping by even though I’m never around these days! xoxo!

Heyy, its allison from seranic.net, we havent talked in a while..how are things going??

- Allison
I am glad things are going decently in Buffalo!! I’ve missed your entries. Please keep them coming! I love you!

Welcome back! For that reason, I always think about pet health insurance. Poor Kitty. Before my cat was neutered he wouldn’t drink water, so he had trouble going and he would go on the basement floor because the floor temp is cool. After he got neutered, he became addicted to water. He drinks out the tub, licks the faucet, he loves it.

Congrats on the move! I hope everything is going well for you in Buffalo. I don’t know what I would have done if something like that happened to one of my kitties. I’d be really upset. But I’m glad you got everything sorted out and Mr. Bojangles is doing better. It sucks that it’s so expensive to keep him healthy though…especially with all of this pet food trauma and everything! Sheesh.

It’s good that Buffalo’s been going well, minus the cat ordeal of course. What a drag! Anyway I have been wandering the vast world of the internets, and I just wanted to say that I adore your layouts, your content, and the magazine scan site is seriously sweet! Your “how to be scene” article is pretty amusing, considering my somewhat hostile feelings to the hipsters swarming all over my campus.
Take care!

That’s not good for kitty, at least he’s okay. :)
Hope you get your connection back soon.

You know, it was really weird reading this blog entry because I was just talking to my co-worker Laura and she was telling me about the same thing happening to her cat.
Her cats was caused by him developing an allergy to cat foods with seafood in them. He had the same thing happen to him.
At least your cat is okay though. :)
- Ashley
Aw. I never liked pets. Nevertheless, I’m glad to hear that your cat is fine now. But, 600 bucks?! Whoa!
- christian

Pets are unfortunately very expensive if they get sick. Have you looked into pet insurance? My husband has pet insurance for his dog (who, when he was a puppy broke both his front legs and it cost $3,000 a leg to fix), and it’s something like $15 a month and they help you pay for vet costs and medications for your pet.

That’s good that you got moved but hope you will be able to get internet soon! I used to not be able to stand being without the internet but I think if we didn’t have it for awhile, I could get more cleaning done around here and actually finish all the books I’ve bought but keep putting off haha.
And aww about your cat. I hope things get better and all. =)
