It feels good to get things done.

Saetia - Becoming the Truth

On Saturday, we took our placement tests for college. We both did awful in the Algebra category, yikes! huh I guess I thought I really had that down, so I was surprised when I found myself skipping entire math problems. It is understandable though, since I haven’t attended high school since late 2003. That’s over 4 years just hanging around with no academics whatsoever.

The tests were taken on the computer and were riddled with so many technical problems that we didn’t get out of there until over two hours later. Afterward, we walked around and took pictures of Buffalo, got something to eat, visited the library, and headed home. Justin went to the bike shop where a couple of his friends work and picked out a brand new bicycle he’s getting with his tax return. He’s so obsessed with bikes, it’s hard for me to imagine spending over $500 on a bicycle, but somehow he managed to explain it to me so that it sounds somewhat sane. whoa I think he’ll be getting involved with Critical Mass again this summer.

I made a new theme for my gallery, but I sort of half-assed it and am not too pleased. It is better than the default theme, though. Anyway, I added some pics, but there are still more to be uploaded sometime this week. I have a few appointments this week (including one with the dentist!) so I don’t know when I’ll have time. Thanks for everyone’s comments, by the way. wink

I feel ya. I just recently took a college placement test and was surprised by how much I had forgotten. And I have barely been out of high school for 2 years! sad

As much as I enjoyed Algebra in high school, I think after all the years I went without doing it (I graduated in ‘03), I’m not sure I would know where to begin.

Other than the Algebra, do you guys think that you did well on you tests?

I certainly know how it is to not know/hate math. Other than the times that I decimated Geometry, I never did well at math at all (Which is funny, considering my obsession with programming and shi’ite). The only part of school that I actually did relatively well in was English.

Oh, and the new gallery layout is something hawt.

I hope you did well on your other tests!
I love the new gallery layout and the new photos. Buffalo looks like a nice place.
My neighbour actually went there for an exchange year some years ago :)

Math was always my weak subject in school. Didn’t excel at all with my D average, but anything is better then failing. lol.

Yuck to college placement tests. I want to test out of some math classes for college cause I hate math so much. Bleh to math in all forms. Hope you did great on your other tests! biggrin
