A little of this and that

Curl Up and Die - I Lost My Job to a Machine

I suck at blogging, so to make up for that fact, I updated the radio. Not many more artists, just more songs. If you think you’re metal enough to handle it, give it a listen. biggrin

Life’s been boring as it always is, just been hanging around online and taking care of business so-to-speak. I’m involved in a new project, basically I’m designing templates for a brand new site offering unlimited WordPress themes to subscribers. I’ll write about it more once everything is concrete. Justin got that job at Aeropostale a couple days after I last blogged, and he also was hired by the laundromat where we do our laundry as a sort of dry-cleaning helper guy (for lack of a proper title!). Kind of funny. He wants to work both jobs, so I guess he’ll be splitting them down the middle.

I’ve been taking some randomish photos which I plan to turn into more textures for the downloads section. I actually still have some ideas for more site content, but I’m just a lazy piece of crap lately. I still need to scan the latest GQ for Magazine Junkie, so I’m going to need to get off of Yahoo and start doing things!

Justin and I just watched this hilarious Jerry Springer segment we had heard about involving (a different) Justin from The Locust and Scott from Lost Film Fest. They basically made up this bullshit story about a bisexual love triangle to get on the show, and it’s just awesome. Go watch and read about it here. There’s really a fat chance that any of my affies will know what I’m referring to, except maybe Cass, who I’d like to congratulate on his new baby boy. Better late than never: Congrats, Nigga!!!

I know what you mean about sucking at blogging. I haven’t had any motivation or any time. Eh, I guess that’s what adulthood does to you.

Hey Ashley, it’s Caz . . . I just had a little question about the amount of space you want me to use. I’m not sure how much I’m using now, but if I ever go over, tell me and I’ll remove stuff if you need me to. Thanks for being such a great host! heart

OK, thanks. I might need more space in a month or two, but I can pay you for it if you want me to.

It was insanely nice in there. He has a website with a bunch of pictures and information if you’re interested. http://www.philkeandesigns.com

Not that I think you’re looking to build a multimillion dollar home or anything…lol.

And FAFSA. Don’t feel bad about not knowing what you’re doing because I didn’t even do it last year because I had no clue it existed. Niiice. But yeah, you should do it before the school year starts. As soon as Justin starts getting his W2s in the mail for his tax forms, that’s when you should start looking into it for the following school year.

You might be able to file for the winter, but honestly I’m not that sure. Loooove you.

I don’t listen to much metal, my boyfriend loves it though.
Wow, congrats to Justin on getting both jobs! Lucky guy! Haha.

Hmm, wasn’t too impressed by your radio – sorry! Heard ‘metal’ but that wasn’t really my impression when going through the lists.

Then again, my music taste sucks, and I can’t categorize things to save my life! Deary me!

Well done to Justin for getting two jobs! In this harsh world it seems impossible to secure one, let alone two!

    Emz:

I left you a comment on your site, but felt the need to respond here as well. Your comment is just perplexing. Here is a list of bands on my radio that fall somewhere under the “metal” genre:

    As I Lay Dying
    Between the Buried and Me
    Circle Takes the Square
    Darkest Hour
    Dead To Fall
    Ed Gein
    Every Time I Die
    From Autumn to Ashes
    Norma Jean
The Number 12 Looks Like You

Not counting bands that have metal/hardcore fusion thing going on… which is another 5 bands on the playlist. Did you even listen to the radio? Or did you just glance at it and not recognize any of the bands? Psh.

I love your radio artists! Anyone who can put Circle Takes The Square & the Velvet Underground in the same player is ETERNALLY cool in my book.

That fake Jerry Springer thingie sounds cool, might have to check that out.

Took a look at your radio – it’s been such a long time since I listened to Brian’s Chinese Freestyle that I was absolutely pissing myself laughing :) Quite a few good tracks on there, but I’m not really into Hardcore (I’m weak, I know). Straight up metal pushes my buttons. Great idea to have a little radio that people can listen to though :)

The new project you’re involved with sounds interesting. I can’t wait to see the textures you’re working on. I must say, your work here really is amazing. You’re very talented.

I don’t know how I would feel working at a laundromat, but I guess it would be one of those jobs that you can say you did, and noone else you know has. At least, if I worked there I can say that. But I can say from friends that juggling two jobs can be difficult, and I hope he can do it with ease.

Good luck with your website. I like it, it looks great!
