Oh Archie!

Orchid - Dissidents in love

Everyday we watch an episode of All in the Family on TV Land, and laugh our asses off. My family always jokes that my Nana is a lot like Edith Bunker; her mannerisms are the same. Justin does terrible impressions of the Queens accent but that never stops him from doing them. My brother, on the other hand, does a very good Nana-impersonation. She has this thing where she uses the tiniest glasses to drink out of - like the size of a big shot glass. My mother’s nickname growing up was “chickie” (people in NJ still call her that) so Joey grabs the smallest glass around and says “Awwww Chickie, you wanna glassuh wawduh?“. It’s probably the funniest thing my brother can do while actually trying. I believe everybody has a character or two in their family tree.

We went shopping yesterday and ended up buying about $30 worth of cheese. It’s kind of ridiculous.

    I love cheese.

One night, not too long ago, my friend Sam and I went to Meijer for food and left with a block of colbyjack cheese, mozz cheese, mac and cheese, chedar sun chips, cheese chex mix, and the latest issue of Cosmo.

    Yeah I know. laugh

Of COURSE we can be affiliates. Because we’ve been bestest online buddies for years AND because you have my real life address. That’s love.

I have never seen that program, but your Nana sounds like a really funny person. What type of cheese did you buy? Please tell me that you did not spend that amount of money on that blue mouldy cheese (my Mam is rather fond of it).

There was always a joke in my family that we were “The Black Bunkers.” My nan was Archie, her husband was Edith (funny, right?) , my mom and dad were Gloria and “The Meat Head.” The only thing was that my dad was in intense ganja smoker, so he gave himself the nickname “The Weed Head” instead.

Being 11 years old at the time, it was never funny to me. It was embarrassing and ridiculous. I guess now that I’m older, my standers dropped and now I think it’s hilarious! laugh lmao
