More holiday babble
The Strokes - Barely LegalI’ve been enjoying living at home with my mom for now. It’s been a while since I was in PA and I missed it. On the bus ride here, from Syracuse and down to eastern Pennsylvania I kept thinking how beautiful everything was. Just mountains and hills filled with multicolor trees. If anyone has ever been to the Poconos (if you’re from the New Jersey or the New York metro area, you’ve probably vacationed there lol) then you know what I mean when I say it’s like living in a painting.
I’ve been pretty laid back lately. I carved a few pumpkins and put them on our porch, although we have to take them in before we sleep because little asshole kids steal or smash them. Vandalism and Halloween go hand in hand, haha. I think I’m going trick-or-treating this year, I know I’m 20 but I haven’t gone for like 6 years and I just have the urge. I’ll wear a mask so people won’t know I’m too old. Maybe I can persuade my 28-year-old brother to go with me
I’m actually more excited about the Christmas holiday this year. I love decorating the tree and putting up the lights. As an agnostic, maybe it’d be odd to get so excited over Christmas in another country, but here it’s pretty much a festival for consumerism, not Jesus. Whatever. i told my mother that right after Thanksgiving dinner I’m going to bring up the tree and put it together. I’m that excited lol.
My mom and I just baked chocolate chip cookies and I must have eaten 5 already. I guess my diet resumes tomorrow

We should start a club: Agnostics Who Love Christmas. Seriously, the best holiday ever. I just love decorating the house with pretty lights and shiny things. This will probably be the best Christmas ever for me. My sister, roommate, and I plan on buying a huge tree to decorate and stick in our kitchen. Ah, I’m excited just thinking about it. It also doesn’t help that CVS is already putting out Christmas things.

Yeah, the Poconos are awesome with all the trees and fresh air, both of which I’m definitely not accustomed to.
And being the lucky person that I am, I got sick yesterday so I guess candy isn’t the best thing to consume as of right now.
At least I have more time to focus on Christmas. I’m already singing Xmas carols in the shower despite my throat. LOL

I’d like Christmas a lot more if I wasn’t prepetually broke. lol. Oh well.
I’m glad you’re enjoying your time with your mom. Sounds like it’s been a good break from life for you.
You know how I feel about diets. lol. Nooooo comment there.
By the way, I updated. I’ve been slackin’ lately. BIG time.

I’m from Philadelphia. I haven’t been to the Poconos as of yet but I’ve been thinking about going for some time now. Maybe when I get the time, I’ll actually be able to go and enjoy myself.
We absolutely can’t put anything on the porch because children are a MESS. There are some kids who even come onto my porch, knock on my door and run. I’d be pretty angry if I put a pumpkin on my porch and some kid came and tampered with it.
I can’t wait until Christmas. It’s my favorite holiday. Well, Thanksgiving is as well because I love to eat

Maybe I’ll go trick-or-treating. As an adult who hands out candy, I am more entitled than ever to go out and eat other people’s candy. I don’t really like candy though.
I’m a downright atheist and I love Christmas! I even love Christian Christmas songs even tho I HATE Christmas.

now you’ve reminded me. i have to go out and buy cookie dough. i like that more than the actual cookies actually. :P

Oh my love, why must you selective-read? Why must you force me to powder my pimp glove, and show you the rough side of it with a swift slap to the ovaries? sigh.
