Irrelevent, paradoxical ads make me lawl
Envy: Breathing and Dying in This PlaceEver visit a site that features random, irrelevant ads that have nothing to do with the content? Or maybe the juxtaposition of the content and the advertising just makes you laugh because it’s completely antithetical or absurd? I’m not trying to bust anyone’s chops, but I experienced this exact thing while browsing today:
I love the softcore porn star (apparently from 2003 when people still wore trucker hats) in a “kinky” t-shirt right above Caylee’s angelic face. Is that her mom? The barbed wire tattoo is effing classy.

Omg! Lol. That’s hillarious. The first thing I think there is definitely “Is that her baby?” Lol.
I had pop-up ads.. So freaking annoying!
I find them to be really bad with Lyrics websites these days.. I hate looking for song lyrics now lol.

I’ve been to that site several times since she put that layout up and been all WTF? especially since it’s one of those doll/graphic sites that teenagers use.
Those pop ups drive me nuts. I had regular ads up and then all of a sudden when I visited my site I’d see a pop up like that and couldn’t work out where it was coming from so I removed the ads and whaddya know? the pop up went. So I’ve gone ad-free and the only form of advertising I do is paid blogging.

Wow, that’s kinda awkward.
A lot of people on tumblr use google ads now and I always find it funny when, because they were joking about something random, they get really weird ads since they’re based on your site’s content.

Neopets (a few years back) used to have like inappropriate ads or something and everyone used to go nuts over them. Cus ya`know their policies on being a kid-friendly site. Twas hilarious.

Ha, what? That’s crazy. In the same way I see ads about losing weight on sixbillionsecrets.com. I find that a bit strange and out of place since some people who post on there are suffering from eating disorders/self esteem issues, so.

Oh my gosh, that’s so annoying! The ads I hate the most, more than anything, are ads that play on video states. Like I’m trying to watch an episode of some show and then some stupid video ad starts talking about yogurt, and I can’t find the mute button Dx

I’ve watched In Transit 12312342 times also so I know everything you’re quoting!! I was gonna tell you my favorite part but then I realized that all of it is so great and funny that I would end up summarizing the entire thing!!! I guess I’ll point out that part where Julian is making fun of the media’s view of them when he goes like “first I’ll hire a bunch of male models to back up the band, and then I’ll listen to the Velvet Underground and copy all their tunes, using that as a prototype” haha
I’ve decided to download one of Adam Green’s albums just because of that and he’s pretty good!

LMAO. I think the only ads that annoy me the most are ones that have a song or a video that starts playing automatically and ones that pop up. I get so irritated with those!
