It’s finally getting cold outside!

Every Time I Die - Hit of the Search Party

Halloween was drab, I decided against going out and just handed out candy to the kids instead. My mom and I just sat on our porch with a huge bowl of lollipops. We saw a few people we know and then some random guy with an actual carved pumpkin on his head snook up and scared the shit out of me.

Joe’s friend Rob came over the last couple days and worked on my computer and hung out, I kept getting the blue screen of death (don’t you love that?) but I think we figured it out. I kept telling them it was a hardware-related error, and finally Joe took out one stick of ram just for kicks and it works fine now. But now I only have 1gb of memory so I need to get a new stick, the last one was faulty I guess or maybe it conflicted somehow?

Tonight we ordered pizza and watched a crap load of cops-themed shows. It feels so white-trash, but there’s nothing else on and we don’t have a DVR at my mom’s sad I’ve been walking the dogs a lot, hopefully it will get me into better shape. It’s nice being back in a house, because with an apartment it’s just one level so you don’t have to do so much stair-climbing.

Our neighbors are moving out, they’re this young Puerto Rican couple with a couple kids and they’re pretty nice. They’ve always been tolerant of my brother’s loud music lol… Anyway, we think they’re moving because of some sewer problem, because we’ve been smelling shit coming from their yard for like a week now and maybe it would be easier for them to rent a new house than to fix the septic tank. It’s gross, and I hope the smell goes away soon gross That’s a problem with living in a townhouse (aka rowhome aka brownstone…). Your neighbors are literally right next to you… on the other side of the wall. So any of their problems become your problems. Luckily, we live on one of the nicer blocks, it’s mostly senior citizens haha.

Anyway, I didn’t get to give out my little Halloween gift to everyone, only my affiliates I think. So this is from me, to all my blog friends and commenters:

My Halloween wasn’t all that interesting…and I was in New York City! I almost wish I stayed home. I didn’t have any huge parties to attend because all of my friends moved far away in the past year, so I basically watched a huge parade and then spent the rest of the night with my roommate in a bar filled with old people. :/

Sucks about your neighbors smelling up the house, haha. Hopefully it will get fixed soon so you don’t have to smell poop all day long. I grew up in a co-op (and live in an apartment now!), so I definitely know what it’s like to live in close proximity to your neighbors. It’s fine if you get along with them, but I’m evil and that’s hardly ever the case. I pretty much hate humanity.

Yeah that what I pretty much did myself, give out candy. Also just watch some movies. Hope they fix that sewer problem.

Awwe! Happy Halloween to you too!

Do you use XP? I got my first blue screen of death on there and it weirded me out. I didn’t know XP did that. If you’re still needing ram, I have some extra. It might fit in your computer and I’m not going to use it! Sorry if I’m being weird. tongue

Whoo, I’ve been trying to load this page for three days! Literally, it’s not your site, it’s my PC – pew. You Halloween sounded fun, even if uneventful – my town has no people, so Halloween was kind of a bust, it’s not really a party town, lol.

Eww, I hate septic problems. We had to get our septic tank replaced several years ago, and you could smell it for block around. It was nasty.

Yeah, I did the same exact thing on Halloween. I wanted to go out , but my mother somehow managed to stick me with candy duty. It wasn’t so bad though, we had a lot of trick or treaters this year.

Hey, just kinda found your site, it’s very lovely. We just moved from a rowhouse with two shared walls to an end unit rowhouse. It’s nice only sharing one other family’s problems lol.
