December 26th, 2007 (11:35 pm)

Christmas is officially over.

The Jews rejoice! rofl

Of course I had to go shopping today like everyone else in America, it’s the 26th! I hit up the mall, especially The Bon-Ton (which is essentially just Macy’s or JCPenney) and my mom and I got some nice deals. Victoria’s Secret had the bra sale going on, so I bought one and got a second at 50% off, which worked out well enough for me. I sort of have this habit of getting lazy and not wanting to hand-wash my bras and other delicates, so I just throw them in the washer (I even dry them on high – eek!) and then I complain when they don’t last, get ruined, lose their shape, etc. blush Anyway, I’ve vowed to be more careful with that because buying new bras all the time gets expensive and like I mention with every post: I’m still poor.

I’m glad I got my mom to come shopping, because she always uses any money she gets as gifts during the holidays for bills or for other people. So I sort of coaxed her into splurging on this beautiful $68 bathrobe and I’m happy because she so deserves it. Why are mothers like that? They’re so selfless and usually the first to sacrifice something for the welfare of everyone else.

I ordered some stuff online for Justin on the 6th (it was shipped either the 10th or 14th) but the package still hasn’t arrived. I’m getting nervous – do you think it may have gotten lost in the mail? It’s a scary thought, because I could have gotten insurance for pretty cheap but decided I didn’t need it. hmph

Justin has been speaking of moving back to Philadelphia, which is pretty exciting. He has this obsession with his area (western NY state), but I love my area too so it’d be nice to move back eventually, within the next couple years. Of course, this is all just chatter, but for a while he was completely opposed to the idea when I’d whine about missing Philly. Hey who knows what will happen with us in the next few years. Things are looking up – but will it last?

haha. I know what you mean. My mom is like that too. Whenever she sees something she really likes, she just tells me that she’ll come back later and buy it when she knows that when she does come back, it’ll be gone. Now I just buy her whatever catches her eye on the spot. Otherwise, she’ll just feel all guilty about spending money for herself. Moms are so selfless.

Oh, and btw, think positive! ;) Remember that the only way a relationship can last if both of you work at it. ^_^

Anyway, 2008 is only a few days away and I just wanted to wish you a wonderful New Year! ;D

Good luck with the Philly thing. Guys are pretty spontaneous so it’s hard to read them. Sometimes they change their mind for apparently no reason, but they can change it back just as quickly.

    I hope shopping was fun!

Yay for some shopping with the world’s best shopping partner, Mom. After Xmas sales are pretty cool too. Good luck with convincing him to move to Philly, who knows weirder things have happened.

Ha! I went on a big…trip to the bank. All my Christmas money went to my savings account. I bought a few video games and I plan on visiting Best Buy tomorrow for the 80g iPod. But I still haven’t actually gone shopping. :/

Lol, my mom is like that too. :) That’s why it’s rare to see my mom going shopping for her stuff. :D

I hope your stuff is ok. It would be a waste if it was lost. :|

Haha, I love how you guys just go crazy on Boxing Day. It must get so crowded, surely? In the UK, a lot of shops aren’t even open then!

The January sales here are always awesome though. I really love this layout, by the way.

I think everyone AND their mother went shopping on the 26th. I bought so much stuff it’s ridiculous. And Victoria Secret’s bras are definitely extremely expensive.

Thanks again for the domain purchase! smile

I think that almost all mothers are selfless, it just comes with being a parent. You learn to give, because then when your kids grow up, they will become the same way.

Hey, thanks for commenting my site :) I went to the sales after xmas too. My mom used to be just like your mom and then she got a new man confused and started buying stuff for herself more, but she deserves it as well, it’s always been about me or my sister. Also, i hope you and your boy stay together as long as i can remember going to “pink-pistol.net” i always saw something about him in your blogs or your page on him, and what not. so yeah be happy. spin
