Q and not U - Nine things everybody knowsSo this one is larger on top than I usually like to do, but these days, most people have broadband connections so I guess it’s not a big deal. I’ve never been that into “web standards”… or any of society’s standards for that matter. It’s my fucking website, right?
Let me know if you see any wacky colors (besides the purposely wacky ones) or errors! And if by chance you’re still seeing the old streetcar layout, clear your cache.
[Note: I fixed the bug in IE6 by simply adding "display: inline;" to my floated divs. That shouldn't even be necessary but hey, it's to be expected from Internet Explorer. I found my solution here.]
It’s another scorcher today and without an air conditioner, life now sucks. You can only take off so many layers you know? Can’t peel off my skin…
Hope that gave you a nice zombie-esque visual, haha.
Tonight, Justin and I are going to catch up on some Degrassi TNG. Love that show, but even as a fan, I still wonder how the hell it’s still on the air. That school puts Beverly Hills 90210 to shame when it comes to drama and dysfunction.

So Niagara Falls was very pretty, surprise surprise! Lots and lots of tourists were there, and Justin was nervous that people might think he was one. He probably wouldn’t admit it but I knew he was embarrassed
It was hot as fuck out though so I didn’t experience everything that I should have, but we’ll go back soon.
Niagara Falls New York (the actual city) is really run down compared to Canada’s Niagara Falls. It’s weird. I kept wondering if people from Canada would come into the USA for the first time through Niagara Falls and believe that all of America looks like that. Talk about a bad first impression. It’s practically a wasteland.
I guess all industrial areas have a little ugliness.
Justin’s birthday was great, and I had to meet a lot of family members I hadn’t seen before. That kind of thing is nerve-racking. It was definitely my least favorite thing about this weekend. It’s weird (and kinda cool) that Justin’s birthday falls on Memorial Day sometimes - like it did this year. I must say I am glad his b-day is over though, because for the last 3 days he’s been pulling “but it’s my birthday!” as an excuse for every single thing, haha.
I’m not sure what else to write about so… bye bye for now
Justin is glued to the TV, watching hockey - according to him it’s very important. Something about playoffs. I personally don’t like hockey, I know nothing about it and have never met a guy who liked hockey this much. Football and Basketball are way bigger back home, up here it’s Hockey all the way.
Like I said before - Buffalo should belong to Canada.
Summer is getting nearer and nearer and I’m not looking forward to it. I just think it’s going to be a miserable year. I’m out of shape and even if I wasn’t, the only “beaches” near here are the Great Lakes. I can’t swim in them, ew! I sound really scared of change, but I guess after moving a gazillion times, I just want some familiarity. I’m sure I’ll start to like it here, but right now there’s just too much changing too fast and I feel like I left half of myself in Pennsylvania.
After not having internet for over 2 months, I feel out of touch with the whole “blog scene” so-to-speak. I’m not motivated either - I used to be fine fixing up fanlistings and scanning Vogue ads for my scan site, but now it’s just not fulfilling. I’m really lonely, too. I hope I make some friends up here soon - although, I probably won’t because socially, I’m just so damn introverted.
Heather: I didn’t forget that we’re penpals (that sounds so lame right?). I’ll write to you real soon!

I’m back. For real this time. I’ll finally be able to update and comment regularly!
So, as the story goes, I’ve been living in Buffalo for about 2 months now. I don’t love it or hate it, and it seems like a typical American city. It has a little bit of a midwestern feel to it which is a new experience for me. There is this one issue: I’m an East Coast kid all the way and I grew up with New York pizza… large slices, thin crust - up here the “standard” pizza is what I’ve always known to be “Sicilian”. I hate Sicilian pizza! I can’t get the thin crust anywhere it seems (and everybody cuts their pizza in squares here, wtf?) but I’ve only tried maybe 4-5 pizzerias so maybe I’ll find a place that reminds me of home. Of course, there’s more to moving than getting to whine about the food choices. One more thing: People in Buffalo don’t say “soda” - they say “pop”
I’ve lost a lot of hosting business because of this internet drought. If anyone has a friend looking to start their own website, perhaps you can keep me in mind
Not only that, clicksor has removed loveisdead.net from their site. Apparently there’s not enough new content (because I haven’t updated) to carry the ads. Bummer! I have a crapload of work to do as far as fanlistings go, but my first priority is checking up on you folks and reconnecting with everyone. It’s been so long.
