It’s finally getting cold outside!

Every Time I Die - Hit of the Search Party

Halloween was drab, I decided against going out and just handed out candy to the kids instead. My mom and I just sat on our porch with a huge bowl of lollipops. We saw a few people we know and then some random guy with an actual carved pumpkin on his head snook up and scared the shit out of me.

Joe’s friend Rob came over the last couple days and worked on my computer and hung out, I kept getting the blue screen of death (don’t you love that?) but I think we figured it out. I kept telling them it was a hardware-related error, and finally Joe took out one stick of ram just for kicks and it works fine now. But now I only have 1gb of memory so I need to get a new stick, the last one was faulty I guess or maybe it conflicted somehow?

Tonight we ordered pizza and watched a crap load of cops-themed shows. It feels so white-trash, but there’s nothing else on and we don’t have a DVR at my mom’s sad I’ve been walking the dogs a lot, hopefully it will get me into better shape. It’s nice being back in a house, because with an apartment it’s just one level so you don’t have to do so much stair-climbing.

Our neighbors are moving out, they’re this young Puerto Rican couple with a couple kids and they’re pretty nice. They’ve always been tolerant of my brother’s loud music lol… Anyway, we think they’re moving because of some sewer problem, because we’ve been smelling shit coming from their yard for like a week now and maybe it would be easier for them to rent a new house than to fix the septic tank. It’s gross, and I hope the smell goes away soon gross That’s a problem with living in a townhouse (aka rowhome aka brownstone…). Your neighbors are literally right next to you… on the other side of the wall. So any of their problems become your problems. Luckily, we live on one of the nicer blocks, it’s mostly senior citizens haha.

Anyway, I didn’t get to give out my little Halloween gift to everyone, only my affiliates I think. So this is from me, to all my blog friends and commenters:

First real snow!

Ruhaeda – Anion

It snowed like crazy last night and it’s still going. We had flurries that just wouldn’t stick for about a week and finally we have some real powder on the ground! I always get excited and childish when it snows. The dogs have been running around in it and playing and it’s just so cute to watch. I wish I had a sled or snowboard or something fun…

A lot has happened in the past two weeks. My mom got her surgery about a week ago, and she’s doing fine. Also, there’s been so much drama in the neighborhood (people harassing each other and all that), though it’s been passing the time, so no complaints there. My father came to visit me since I’m in PA still. He’s having health problems and says he’s probably going to quit his job and take an easier, lower-paying one because he just can’t hack it anymore with his back and everything (he’s a heavy machine operator). Anyway, I got in an argument over the phone with him like a week ago and haven’t heard from him since. Not sure what’s up with that.

I’ve been selling stuff on ebay and making some extra money. I found these Hello Kitty items in the clearance bin at Claire’s for 50 cents, and their retail sticker says $8.50! So I bought every single one I could find and I sell a couple on ebay every week in little lots. Claire’s has crazy deals sometimes. Anyway, I don’t know much about Hello Kitty, only that people collect those things and they’d sell really well, lol. I also went to one of the little thrift stores/Chinese auction places in this town and found a working Teddy Ruxpin for $1 and I can sell that on ebay for like $30 or more. Cha-ching!

If I don’t blog again in time, all you Americans have a Happy Thanksgiving! I plan on eating way too much, setting up the tree and playing old video games woot
