Alone again

It’s finally just Justin and I in our apartment again. Chris and Brandy left. They have their own place now, but we haven’t visited to check it out yet. Things were getting really crazy having them stay here for nearly 3 weeks… they spilled beer on our carpet twice, and then coffee and soda another few times. There were other incidents, but whatever. They’re nice and everything, but I think they’re still living (perhaps vicariously) that “punk rock lifestyle” (which sounds cheesy as hell), and Justin and I are different people, perhaps more mature, and we care about our place being clean and nice. Anyway, after the joy of having extra players for our board games wore off, it started feeling like we were doing favor after favor for them. It’s just nice to be alone again.

Last week was fun. I bought an immense amount of stuff online and we also went to the mall and got some cute tshirts from Steve & Barry’s. They have crazy sales. Anyway, my little wardrobe is refreshed, and it was long overdue. I also (finally!) got around to buying ink for my printer, so I think Justin and I will sit at home making buttons all day of our favorite bands, haha. We’re lame… but kinda cute! I put up some new pictures in the photo album.

I hope everyone had a happy Easter… or at least a happy Sunday, depending on your religion. bounce Justin and I went out to eat and saw a movie with his mother, although it was awful. Don’t waste your money on Shutter. It’s futile.

I’d like to revitalize this site, but I don’t have the drive right now.

No time for a title.

Portugal. The Man - Elephants

Sorry for slacking with updates and returning comments and all that. I have plans for this site but I seem to get caught up in other things. I did a lot of “spring cleaning” this week, even though it’s still officially winter. The place is looking really good.

Justin’s friend and his girlfriend will be staying here with us until they can find an apartment. They decided to move to Buffalo, from Cleveland. Not much of an upgrade in my opinion, haha! Justin might murder me for saying that. thinking

I finally got my New York ID, after almost a year of living here. The photo is horrendous, and even though the lady let me retake it 4 times, I still look like a man in drag. The DMV here is almost s bad as said photo. They had no pens anywhere to fill out paperwork, and when we asked for on, they were dicks. So we went next door to the tax service and just stood there, using their pens to fill out the ID paperwork, haha. Anyway, Justin and I are nearly finished with the college process, we just have to go in for placement testing. I can’t wait for all that shit to be over with.

I kept getting the Blue Screen Of Death but I think I’ve fixed it. It’s sporadic and only seems to happen after I move the tower around a lot, which is what tipped me off that something was loose inside. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

V-Day rundown / Europe 2009

It has been too long, folks. What’s keeping me from my keyboard? I’m pretty sure it’s the lack of a desk, here in Buffalo. Sitting on the floor with a keyboard on one leg and a mouse on the other is miserable… especially if your legs fall asleep as quickly as mine. mad

Justin had to work on Valentine’s Day, but we managed to catch a movie late that night, which was really nice. I’m on a restrictive buckle-down diet, so going to dinner would have been a no-no. I’m happy I got to spend the holiday with him, because we didn’t spend Christmas or New Year’s Together, and I was starting to feel boyfriend-less.

The even more exciting part of this entry (although it might be a bit premature?) is what Justin and I keep high-fiving about: EUROPE 2009, muthafucka! Justin, myself, Chris (Justin’s childhood friend) and his girlfriend, Brandee, are planning a 1-month trip across Europe next summer, together. We’re all thrilled, but I think I’m definitely most hyper about this. It is at least 16 months away and I am already staring at my atlas and routing an itinerary and outlining how much this would cost. I FUCKING LOVE TO TRAVEL!

Some of you have been my friend, affiliate, or reader for a long time, so you might remember that Justin and I traveled to Barcelona, Spain in the summer of 2005. However, it was more of a vacation (not too much tourist stuff) and we’d like to go back to Europe and see other countries and travel by train and sleep in crappy hostels instead of 4 star hotels. In Barcelona, we were only kids. I was 18 and he was 19, and I don’t think we were very smart when it came to spending, planning, or transportation for those 2 weeks. My excuse is that we had just recently met in-person at the time, so we were obsessed with each other, and didn’t pay enough attention to our lovely surroundings. Anyway, more to come on this topic in about a year, haha.

Return to Hoth!

Simon & Garfunkel - The Sound Of Silence

So I’ve been back in chilly Buffalo, NY since late Tuesday night. I took a bus at 12:45 that afternoon and didn’t arrive until 11:10 pm. I had to wait in Syracuse for 2 hours, which was rather boring. In Rochester, some border police checked everyone on the bus to make sure we’re all legally in the country. So there were a few holdups that added to the time, but the trip was decent overall. No one sat next to me with a smelly salami sandwich like on my last bus ride. I’m pleased. laugh I had to take my computer on the bus with me as carry-on. It’s like 25 pounds or more and I had to carry a million other things…

Since I’ve been home, Justin and I have just been watching movies, playing Nintendo and listening to music. I finally gave Justin his Christmas presents. I got him a few records (Orchid, Ampere, The Blood Brothers) on some pretty cool colored vinyl and I got him some books (E.E. Cummings, Orwell, etc) and a couple other tiny things. Anyway, things have been mellow so far, which is cool. I went to his job for a little and we hung out and ate Doritos. He’s lucky that he has such an unrestrictive job, and works all his shifts alone. He just got a raise, too woot

Next week I need to do a lot of stuff to get back on track, including setting up a dentist appointment and figuring out the rest of this college paperwork shit. I’m sort of dreading that, especially since I have to come up with money for testing and whatnot. Ugh.

When I have time, I’ll probably get to work scanning more magazines, because I have them stockpiled from when I was gone, and my scans site is laying there idle.
