How To Install Fonts

This tutorial is only for Windows users, sorry.

  • Double click the “My Computer” icon on your desktop or in your Start Menu.
  • Double click on the “Control Panel” icon/link on the far left, or search for it if you do not see it listed.
  • Double click the “Fonts” folder inside of the Control Panel. You should now be able to view all the fonts installed on your PC.
  • From there, just drag the .ttf font files into the “font” folder! Windows will automatically install them! Then, you can delete the fonts you downloaded (not the ones in the font folder!) from your PC. Deleting the fonts you downloaded will not uninstall them.

Note: If you use your cool new fonts in AIM, Y!IM, or when writing emails, the viewer will not see the special font unless they also have it installed on their PC. They will just see the default Time New Roman font. For this reason, installing different fonts is most useful for working in programs like Photoshop to create graphic and print materials.
