Often times we buy a new computer and there is a ton of bloatware because the manufacturer, such as Toshiba or Dell, pre-install useless programs and “free trials” which will annoy you and slow down and clutter your computer. This is how to uninstall programs you no longer need or use:
- Go to the Start Menu, click “Control Panel” and then click the “Add or Remove Programs” icon. It’s usually the 3rd icon on top.
- A window will pop up, and you’ll be able to see all software installed on your computer. Simply scroll to the program you wish to uninstall and click it. This will hilight the program so you can then click “Change/Remove“.
- From there, simply follow the uninstall wizard that came with the software, and it will uninstall it for you. Sometimes you may need to restart after uninstalling certain programs.
